Classic Craftsman home for sale in Santa Fe, NM

Santa Fe NM isn’t all adobe and flat roofs.  Many of the Eastern businesspeople who came out here wanted to build solid, familiar homes in this exotic place.  HH Dorman was one of those, and his stunning craftsman home is now for sale in Santa Fe, at an asking price of $1.1 million.  Here is a link to the listing: http://tinyurl.com/yzvdsth

Adobe, contemporary, craftsman – ah, eclectic Santa Fe!

This week’s realtor tour was in the ever-popular north and east side. Highlights for me were a stunning craftsman home (pictured, $1.1 million) and another home on Upr Canyon Road that was almost $4 million and is now under $2 million – beautiful contemporary interior, traditional adobe exterior. Great properties in Santa Fe at the moment!

Clafoutis – excellent Santa Fe restaurant!

From the cheery “bonjour” when you go into the restaurant, through the very French menu, you know this is a special place! I had a great breakfast there yesterday – don’t miss the croissants, even if you’re on a diet!

The Thrifty Wintery Charms of Santa Fe – NY Times

Santa Fe, New mexico

SANTA FE has an international art scene, year-round celebrities and hotel rooms that go for up to $450 a night, so “affordable” may not be the first word that comes to mind in describing it. But with some creative choices and a willingness to stray from the plaza of postcard fame, it can be surprisingly easy on a budget. A couple on a three-day weekend can stay at immaculate adobe-style hotels, browse at world-class art galleries, tour historic churches, eat flavorful Southwestern cuisine, hike, ski and even soak in a private Japanese hot tub — all for under $500.
